Traditionally: Historically, a bridal shower has been an all_gals fete of the elegant, ladylike variety__such as a luncheon, brunch, or tea__that celebrates the bride (with gifts and games) before her wedding day. You pick a theme and a DIY bar (make your own mimosa, waffles, or flower crowns, for example). And everyone gets the bride gifts__usually things from her bridal shower registry to help her start her new home, like kitchenware and linens. (See: Not a bachelorette party.)
Tangy Garlic Aioli: Cheese, crackers, and fresh veggies are a bridal shower staple, but they can be a bit expected. Jazz them up by serving interesting dips and spreads alongside. This tangy garlic aioli kicks things up a notch, but you could also make a sweet/savory Pineapple Cheese Ball, a green goddess dressing, or a spicy remoulade.
