Heather Zachary- Heather Zachary is a partner in WilmerHale’s Regulatory and Government Affairs Department,and a member of the Communications, Privacy, and Internet Law Practice Group. She counselsand advocates for clients on a wide range of privacy and information-security issues, includingcompliance with federal and state laws, such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Fair CreditReporting Act, the Federal Trade Commission Act, and the Children’s Online Privacy ProtectionAct. Ms. Zachary also helps clients navigate complicated international privacy issues, includingEU data-protection law and the divergent laws of individual countries both within and outsidethe EU. In recent matters, she has provided guidance on data-breach issues, advised clientson the requisite privacy and security protections for different types of sensitive data, helpedcompanies leverage “big data,” and counseled clients on deployment of new online services.Ms. Zachary also represents clients in litigation concerning a broad range of legal issues, and sheprovides regulatory advocacy and counseling for a variety of communications clients.
Marc Rossen- Marc is a marketing and business strategy expert driving innovation for clients focused on analytics and big data execution strategies that align to real world business needs. Currently at MediaMath, Marc is focused on leveraging big data systems to produce automated reporting based on enterprise marketing data to drive actionable insights for marketing optimization. Prior experience includes leveraging global enterprise digital assets for consumer insights at Estee Lauder, designing product innovation for agency clients at [X+1], and leading analytics relationships for P&G across North America at Publicis groupe agency MediaVest.
Carl Kalapesi- Carl is A consultant at BCG (boston consulting group) and for the last year has been outsourced to manage the efforts of the Rethinking personal data initiative at the World Economic Forum. Carl is a thought leader in the space of personal data and data privacy and is working on a new publication which should be out thursday, Feb 28. The publication will take a deeper dive into the tools necessary to rebuild trust in the digital world between service providers, merchants and consumers.
Colin O'Malley- Colin is Evidon's Co-Founder and Privacy Advisor. He co-founded the company and led its initial Design Program, a collaboration with the top seven agency holding companies, leading brands and networks. An expert in privacy matters with deep connections in the policy world, he was the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Programs at TRUSTe from 2003 to 2009, where he developed and launched self-regulatory programs for email (including the Bonded Sender Program, sold to Return Path) and Software (Trusted Download Program). Execution across these programs drove the transition of TRUSTe to for-profit status and an A-Round from Accel Partners. Earlier he was the Manager of Product Development at NetCreations, a double opt-in email marketing firm that went public in 1999. Colin is a published author and has a BS in Economics and Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University.
