|Title:||January Meetup: Kris Selden plus awesome lightning talks|
|Date:||Thursday, January 24|
I've got to tell you all: I am excited about the way this evening is shaping up:
Kris Selden, Ember.js core team member and "performance wizard" joins us from Seattle to speak on The Power of *Really* Understanding Ember. His talk will cover binding and computed property idioms, how to leverage the run loop in your app, and illuminating common misunderstanding while helping you attain conceptual coherence of the most important features of Ember.
Noah Davis will preside over the game-show successor to Ember.Jeapordy.
Our lightning talk lineup this month is DEEP and promises to be pretty awesome:
We're happy to welcome Mike Nicholaides from Philadelphia for a talk about Patterns for Forms in Ember.js.
Michael Grassotti returns to the Ember.js NYC stage for a talk about the New Router API.
Another Ember.js NYC alum and core contributor, Stefan Penner, will cover Dependency Injection in Ember master.
First-time presenter Asha Gupta will discuss the when, why and how of Creating a stateManager for UI elements like modals and drawers.
Brooklynite Alex Matchneer is going to tell us about an Ember-compatible templating language he is working on in Emblem: pain-free templating for Ember
If you have a talk you would like to present at this or a future meetup, contact me at luke at lukemelia.com.
